One of my favourite areas of entertaining( that my Party guests seem to enjoy as much as me) is balloon modelling or balloon twisting. I find the art of twisting quite relaxing - I guess it works like one of those stress relief squishy balls!!
I try to learn a few new models every few weeks or so when I have time, it gives me a challenge plus broadens my portfolio for events rather than sticking to the usual dogs, swords, flowers etc (although I often find it's the grown ups requesting the more complex designs and the children still want the dogs, swords and flowers!!)
I've recently learnt to twist princess balloons which always go down well at Princess Parties and can be tweaked using different colours to make the popular Princesses like Cinderella, Snow White, Belle etc
Another popular model is Mr Penguin. I've recently asked my Facebook page fans to give me some new ideas to try, one suggestion was Tweety Pie, I'm thinking of basing him on the same lines as Mr Penguin (but yellow instead of black!), other suggestions include a space ship and R2 D2 - I guess I'm going to be busy the next few days then!!! I'll keep you updated with how I get on... :)
